IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS!

1) Band Camp ( day camp )

its gonna be held on the 20th and 21st , this coming monday and tuesday. please take note that its a day camp though :) 

Please report at 9am on monday punctually at the band room ( Blk 73 , # 04 - 03 ). i will update ya'all regarding the schedule and stuff again once the details are up.

oh and please bring along $6 this coming monday too! very important, MUST bring! 

2) P&C concert

There is a change in the repertoire so for all the new scores sets, I will pass it to ya'all by monday / tuesday. For all the current scores ya'all are holding on to, please do get a black file and slot all your scores inside kays, and bring it along for mon band prac :) 

3) Saxophone Ensemble 

    Performance for Music-In-The-City 2011

  

Date : 28th June 2011, Tuesday

Time : 7pm to 8pm

Attire for the performance:

Guys : Black long sleeves, black pants, black long socks, black shoes

Girls : Black long sleeves, black pants , courts shoes or heels ( can wear black dress if ya'all want to , but nothing above knee level )

Pieces - wise , we have only confirmed 3. i have more scores with me that we can try out during sectionals on monday. for this week, there will be intensive sectionals for both the ensemble and  the concert, so lets all work hard together kays! we gonna make this ensemble performance a success, i am sure of that! :)

HELLO AWESOME SAXYS :D



I believed that ya'all have seen my email regarding the P&C concert. however, only 2 saxys replied me. so i shall post here to make things clearer hoho :)

Pops & Classics concert 

The players list for P&C is confirmed already. There will be a total of 8 saxys performing. 

6 altos ~  Eddy Haikal Ryan Hazmei Suryadi and Terence

2 tenors ~  Henry Yvonne

1 barisax ~ Dulcia 

P&C concert will be held at the new NP's music box ( the new auditorium ) on the 24th of July ( sunday ). I have already allocated the parts for all alto saxys, and will get the scores ready for ya'all by next week. will message ya'all again regarding the meet-ups for collection of your scores soon :)

Once band prac resumes, there will be normal band pracs as usual, every monday and thursday. However, as P&C concert is less than 2 months away, i will be conducting additional sectionals specially for saxys. Our tutor, Jefferson, will be coming down to tutor us for every sectional. So whenever there is sectionals, I really hope to have each and every one of ya'all turning up and staying on to practice the concert pieces during sectionals days. Do keep yourself free as sectionals are really veryvery important. 

We shall work together to make this concert a success all rights :) so lets JYJY together :D I know we can do it! we are the most awesome saxys after all! :D

Regarding the sectional dates and timing, I will inform and update ya'all again once Jefferson confirmed his availability with me :) 

Band Pracs at the new band room

Band pracs have temporarily stopped due to the upcoming common tests. It will only resume on 13th June ( monday ) at the usual timing, 6pm. I will send message to remind ya'all about it again soon :) The new band room is at Blk 73 , # 04 - 03 , just in case ya'all are not aware of it. 

meanwhile, All The Best and Good Luck for your common tests yupps :) Study hard and get good grades hoho :)

SAXOPHONE Ensemble

LETS HAVE ONE ALL RIGHTS :D

Ngee Ann Kongsi is having this Music - in - the - City performance on the 28th of June ( Tuesday ) this year and they have specially invited NPCB to perform. Timing - wise, its from 7pm to 8.40pm, with 2 separate sections ( Set 1 ~ 7pm to 7.40pm & Set 2 ~ 8pm to 8.40pm ) . The stage is located at the outdoor Civic Plaza, the semi - circle stage there.

We can set up our own saxophone ensemble and perform for around 15 to 20mins. I will be arranging together with Jefferson regarding the pieces that we can perform :D since he have lots of nice pieces :))

If ya'all wanna suggest any pieces, feel free to tell me too :)) you can send me the scores online and i will print out for us to try it out :))

Hope we can really perform together for this performance! It will be an awesome performance I believe, if all the awesome saxys agree to this :D

Important Announcements;



1) Band camp is from 20th to 22nd of Dec ...
Attendance is Compulsory!

Reporting time ~ 9am at band room. but lets meet up at 8.40am at the np main busstop first okay :) then we can go up to the band room together :) oooh and have some light breakfast first before coming okay :)


Packing List is as follows; (you may also bring other necessary stuffs that you deem fit.)

~ 3 sets top + bottom (advisable to bring 1 set extra as there will be games)
~ Undergarments
~ Towel(s)
~ Toiletries – toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap etc
~ Medication (if needed)
~ SLEEPING BAG (recommended to bring)
~ TORCH LIGHT (for emergency use)
~ Sufficient money (If needed as foods are provided for the 3 days)
~ Chargers (if needed)
~ Mouthpieces, Reeds, Instruments, Files, Scores etc

* Please note that valuables brought to the camp are at your own risks. The committee and school, will NOT be responsible for any lost of valuables. Please be responsible and smart enough to keep it with you at all times :)

2) For all alto saxys, please refer to the new parts allocations below ... There's some changes made as only 5 alto saxys (Tony, Leonard, Eddy, Hazmei and Janice) will be performing for Rondeau concert. Scores-wise, we will sort out on monday during sectionals okay :)
